Mera Peak (6,461 metres/21,190 feet) is an exciting, scenically stunning mountain becoming popular among trekkers and climbers as it is the highest trekking peak in the Khumbu (Everest) Valley.

This adventure is a 22-day trek and climb from Phaphlu via the Solukhumbu Valley to summit Mera Peak. The journey also travels along the famous trail that many Everest expeditions have walked.

Situated on the edge of the famous Khumbu Region and dominated by Mount Everest, climbing Mera Peak is an opportunity for all adventure seekers who are physically fit. You will see unbelievable views of the world’s tallest mountains including Everest, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Lhotse, Cho-Oyu and many other peaks.

Once arriving in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by the Koru Mountains staff and transported to the Tibet Guest Hotel. The Tibet Guest House is located in the heart of the main shopping area where you can purchase equipment and clothing at a very reasonable price. Our guides can assist you with all your shopping needs. There are also great restaurants and bars in the area.

Accommodation throughout the trek will be in locally-owned lodges, known as tea houses. All of the tea houses we stay in are family-owned and supported by Koru Mountains. The typical tea house includes a large dining area where you can relax, socialise and rest. The bedrooms are very basic with two single beds, mattress and pillow. They are able to be locked if required.

All meals are served in the dining room by your guides. All tea houses have a range of meals available that includes some Western-style meals and local healthy and delicious Nepali cuisine. Dahl bhat is the main dish, which is a lentil and vegetable curry with rice. Meals are mostly cooked on an open-fired wood stove.

Most tea houses have solar power and wi-fi available. You can charge your devices for a small cost.
