We create epic adventures in the Everest region.
Most importantly, we know “adventure” means something different to each one of our clients. We don’t believe in massive group tours or forcing clients into standard trip packages. Instead, we work with you to plan your ideal trip, matched to your comfort and ability level, and to the experiences you want to enjoy.
The itineraries on this page represent some of our most popular treks, but our trips are fully customisable. We work with each client to develop their unique itinerary according to their interests, travel requirements and ability level.
Our family connections in Nepal mean you also have the opportunity to venture outside the major tourist routes. Whether you wish to visit an ancient, forbidden Tibetan kingdom, or stand at the foot of Everest, Koru Mountains will take you there.

where we stay
Accommodation throughout the trek will be in locally-owned lodges, known as tea houses. All of the tea houses we stay in are family-owned and supported by Koru Mountains. The typical tea house includes a large dining area where you can relax, socialise and rest. The bedrooms are very basic with two single beds, mattress and pillow. They are able to be locked if required.
All meals are served in the dining room by your guides. All tea houses have a range of meals available that includes some Western-style meals and local healthy and delicious Nepali cuisine. Dahl bhat is the main dish, which is a lentil and vegetable curry with rice. Meals are mostly cooked on an open-fired wood stove.
Most tea houses have solar power and wi-fi available. You can charge your devices for a small cost.
There are a mix of western style and squat toilets.
You can also purchase basic supplies from the tea houses which include soft drinks, chocolate bars and alcohol.
transport
A majority of our travel is done by hiring private jeeps from Kathmandu that carry up to six passengers comfortably. This is a fantastic way to travel to get a real sense of the local culture and scenery. We include plenty of rest stops along the way for sightseeing.
We can also fly return from Kathmandu to the exciting mountain village at Lukla. Lukla is the gateway to the Sagarmatha National Park. This is not for the faint-hearted, but certainly adds adventure to the trip. You may even get a glimpse at Mt Everest on the flight.
